Hi Masoud,

Yes,
Applications built using a Source Edition license do not have to include a copyright notice and a link back to our site, and can be totally re-branded.

You can read more about it here http://monox.mono-software.com/purchase/MonoX/

Beside being able to remove copyright notice and re-brand, real benefit is that all source code updates are free as well for all v5.X releases. And there will be some bigger upgrades this year.

Regards,
Igor

Hi,

as CNR is copyright notice removal and it's first level of licensing. You are allowed to remove the copyright notice with CNR license while with a source code edition you can change the MonoX CMS source code anyway you like and that includes the CNR.

Let us know if you have more questions regarding licensing.

Regards

What kind of restrictions are set on Source edition?

There are no "hidden" restrictions.
You cannot develop a competing framework on top of MonoX, and you cannot distribute its source code with your products – that's basically it.

Here is a complete license agreement: http://monox.mono-software.com/ContentPage/Licensing/
