Hi,
I am a newbie and would like to know the rules on disabling/hiding certain parts of the rendered HTML.

For example, if I take the default install and edit the main master page Default.Master.aspx and comment out the <img> tag containing the banner, the banner does not load when the site is refreshed.

However, when commenting out other parts of the home page via the HTML source code, such as the MONOX MOBILE or SOCIAL DASHBOARD sections (i.e. the icon and text), these still get displayed when the page is refreshed.  I can hide the parts via the MonoX admin panel though.

Is this by design that the admin panel must be used?  Thanks.

Jimmy

Hi,

this depends on what are you removing, if you try to remove the content from HTML editors you will have to reset the HTML editor data in order to push the content to database, if you are removing the controls from the page then you don't need to do anything.

Let me know which one are you doing so we can provide you with more info.

Regards
