My portal site utilizes both http and https protocols. A couple of page links malfunction whenever the protocol is https. I cannot seem to devise a remedy on my own. Can you please advise.

For example. On the /MonoX/Pages/SocialNetworking/DIscussion.aspx a user is using https and navigates to a particular Topic. When the user clicks on the "Back to all discussion boards" link it malfunctions. The domain portion of the hyperlink URL is duplicated such that it looks like https://abcxzy.com/abcxyz.com/MonoX/Pages/SocialNetworking/Discussion.aspx? where abcxyz.com is representative of the domain name.

The same malfunction happens on the /MonoX/Pages/SocialNetworking/PhotoGallery.aspx page and the "Back to albums" link.

I would appreciate any advice as to how to make this work with either http or https.

Hi,

sorry for a delay we have been testing the issue and found a small bug related to https protocol deep down in the MonoX Core inside the localization and SEO handlers. The best way to solve this issue would be to upgrade to patched version that I can send you, is this an option for you ?

What MonoX version are you using ? Patch would be the 4.5.3xxx version.

Also you can override the "Back link" generation and set your own but then you need to take care of many things that are already implemented on MonoX side, such as SEO, Localization, Discussion parameter handling etc.

Let me know how you want to proceed ?

Yes, I would be willing to apply a patch. My current portal version is 4.1.2742.40

However, please note that I have an already patched version of MonoX.dll that you previous provided me. I don't know if that is a consideration or not.

Hi,

I'll try to deploy a new version of MonoX tomorrow so you can download it from MonoX download section. As for earlier patches they are included in new releases so no worries there.

Note: Although you will need to execute few scripts to upgrade a database, I suppose this isn't an issue.
