Failing to install  (Mono Support )

Hi,

would you consider installing the MonoX manually ? We will lead you through installation and you can download the latest version of MonoX from here

You obviously have some issues with database credentials for sa user so if we go manually we can try to add a user to the database first and then we can use it in the installation process for the connection string, etc.

Let us know if that is an option for you ?

Thanks Khorvat,

I re-installed IIS etc. and Web Matrix confirmed I'd been success ful in installong MonoX. I then clicked to launch it and got the following:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during the processing
of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review
the specific error details below and modify your configuration file
appropriately.

Parser Error Message: An error occurred loading a
configuration file: Failed to start monitoring changes to 'C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\web.config'
because access is denied.

Source Error:
[No relevant source lines]

Source File: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\web.config Line: 0

Hi,

It's not a practise to install web site under the folder that you used. To install MonoX properly please put the MonoX install package to the "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\YourMonoX" folder, extract it, set the folder permissions(have you set it in your previous MonoX installation?), create an empty database and start MonoX install wizzard. When you start MonoX wizzard, all permissions should be set as shown in attached image.
