Hi Kristijan

Thanks for all your support, now I have a situation and I seek your suggestion in this.
We have around 40000 users of MonoX application hosted in our Load balancing severs. we are working on improving the performance of Discussions, blogs and groups for those 40000 users.

Please recommend a best working solution for this. Our server configuration details are :

Windows Server 2008 R2
8 GB - 16 GB RAM

Database Server: MS SQL Server 2008
16 - 64 GB RAM

Hi,

well it all depends upon concurrent users not the actual number of users in the database, so first you need to let me know what is the number of current or expected concurrent users so I can advise you on your hardware configuration ?

We have MonoX based projects with 100k-200k users working without an issue on entry level hardware configurations because they don't have many concurrent users, while some other projects have 10k-15k users but have more concurrent users and require a bit stronger hardware, so my answer really depends on the number of concurrent users.

If we are talking about "Our concurrent Users vary from 200 - 300" per hour then you will need at least 4 cores CPU (try to see if machines are not overloaded, and switch to 8 core CPUs if needed - I don't know if your cloud environment is that flexible). As for the RAM I think you are good there.

You can use some performance monitoring tools just to be sure you can handle the daily peeks.
