Hello all,

I started yesterday morning with reading about translating this wonderfull program in Dutch.
But all i read is that first i have to change the web.config file.
i have to change the default ResourceProviderModel and set it to DBResourceManager.

But the word ResourceProviderModel is more then once in the web.config file
witch one to alter???

And now that i am here is there a dutch translation available somewhere ?

thanks in advanve

Hi,

Dutch translation is not available so you need to do it your self (we can include the Dutch localization in upcoming releases if you provide us with the resource files). If you are a developer our suggestion is to use the resource files through the Visual Studio to translate the resources, if you are not a developer we can suggest two approaches:

1. You can switch the resource provider in the web.config (We will provide you with the steps on how to do this) and use DBResourceManager this way you will be able to translate the resources through the MonoX administration interface but note that this way it will be harder for you to upgrade to new MonoX version.

2. We can send you an MS Excel spread sheet with all the resource keys that you need to translate, after you are done you can send it back to us and we will include it in the new MonoX version which will be sent to you.

Please let us know which option suites you the best.

Regards

Hi Khorvat,

For this moment i would like to go for your first option, maybe lator on i will try a more difficult one.

Hi,

to enable the DBResourceManager you need to go to web.config and change the following:

Find
<ResourceProviderModel defaultProvider="ResourceManager">
and replace it with
<ResourceProviderModel defaultProvider="DBResourceManager">

Now you will be able to open a Portal Localization in the MonoX administration area. You can read more about the working with DB resource provider in the manual under the section 13.1

I hope this will help you start working on the Dutch translation, if you need more assistance let us know.

Regards
