1) The user is expected to login with admin/admin (btw the password reminder is m..x or something which is unrelated). I'd expect to be able to set the admin password at the installer screen for more security (maybe it should even force you to enter one, not add it to advanced options [if it was there it must have skipped my attention among the other options]). Also user may not guess the admin account is called "admin" and not "administrator" or something else

2) Once I logged in (guessed needed login and pwd) as admin I couldn't find how to quickly change the password from my profile or something. Had to go to site administration console and edit that user's password from there (UPDATE: I didn't notice the profile page also had an "Edit" button, strange)

3) At the admin console I noticed lots of users premade (it's the installer that contains the demo site for quickstart). However there is no checkboxes column. It would have a checkbox at the column header too to check/uncheck all checkboxes at once by checking that column's header and then be able to uncheck admin or whichever accounts you want to keep. Having checked multiple users I'd expect then some actions (as links/buttons or as drop-down for action name and some perform action button or something to do the selected action like deleting those users or locking them, [dis]approving them etc. )

4) That admin console isn't affected by the main site's skin? would be nicer if it was similar at least in colors

5) when I delete a user I see a message saying this item will be deleted (no mention about user, generic message)

more importantly I don't see any mention on what will happen to that user's PUBLIC content (e.g. replies to discussion threads etc.). Will it go away too? Do I have option to keep the content? I guess users deciding to delete their account themselves should then be given the same option too to be in-line with privacy regulations, but admin should be able to disable that option (for special sites that need to keep track of all discussions for legal reasons etc.).

If a user is deleted and content is selected to be kept, the user info should be kept I guess (to be shown at those posts) but the user should be disabled, or posts should transition to some internal account corresponding to deleted users (think phpBB does that)

Facebook btw when you delete your account keeps the account info and content for some time in case you change your mind and login again to restore the account. So could have a state where an account is disabled and scheduled for deletion with the admin setting globally a timespan for that to happen

6) at the profile page for admin, at the wall messages at the bottom removed the "Installing the new version of MonoX (1 year ago ...)" that was posted. However it didn't get removed from the status shown at the top of the profile page under the account's name. It is still there after logging out and logging in again. I believe the latest status message should be deleted too when that message is deleted from the wall. If there are other messages in the wall it could pick the previous (new latest one). If there are no message left (as in my case) it should show an empty status message.

7) also the status shown under the profile doesn't have a time mark (I guess some other networks do similarly) and to see the timemark you have to see the user's wall. It is a bit misleading on what the user is doing (a classic shortcoming of twitter-style networks when used by say automated bots that post status there is they only shown when something starts, not when it is finished - its duration too).

In this case even the start-time isn't shown which is more troublesome (depending on the user message - since this gets copied from a timed wall message and not from say a mood/moto [as was in many networks in the past before often status updates became the trend], most messages will be in the modern fashion and can be misinterpreted without the time, as the "installing monoX" message is [a year after the user might think the admin is doing it at that moment if they just see admin's status and not the wall])

8) "Log out by clicking here" is too verbose I feel, a "Log out" (with some Door with outgoing arrow icon or similar to make it stand out) would be fine

9) when I edit webpart properties I see first "HTML code - part footer:" and then "HTML code - part header:" (under it). It would be more natural to have first the header, then the footer in the properties list. I guess you should the properties in alphabetic list, so could say "HTML code - 1) part header:" and "HTML code - 2) part footer:" or something like that to make them appear in the order I'd expect

10) added a Twitter feed part (from samples, I'd expect that to be in Social and have an icon too when one has selected to show icons for webparts [none of the samples have icons]) and from web part settings / Appearance whether I select to see Border or Title and Border I see no border (the title does show when selecting Title and Border). Does it have to do with the default skin or that part?

11) at either Revise Content or Design mode buttons of Page tasks it allows me to double click at the front page the webpart saying "Social Networking" and edit its text. But when I go to other mode after that (I first click outside the text area and it seems to show the changes ok in the webpart), even if I press "End revision" (btw not sure what this does, since at Design mode you can also edit the text, but no "end design mode" is there similar to "end revision" shown for the "Revise content" task), it loses the text and restores the original one. Is it something I'm doing wrong or some issue with the database or access rights to folders? (to the MonoX2 db I've given db_owner role to MonoX account)

UPDATE: there's a small save button on the left handside of the text editor toolbar, hard to notice - would expect to be asked to save edited content when the text edit area loses focus (should be clear if that save is temporary depending on revise mode being on or off [and do have info on where the approve button is]), or when the edited text is about to be lost (e.g. when trying to navigate to other page or change page mode it is lost if SAVE button hasn't been pressed on editor)

12) if I press "Change the look and functionality of this page" at the top I see an area with a "Page tasks" tab appear. But to hide that area I have to click "Change the look and functionality of this page" again (not very obvious, could have a bottom facing arrow there that changes to top facing arrow when the area has been opened).

Also the "Page tasks" tab could have some [x] button or could be also clickable to hide (unless you plan to add more tabs there at sometime, in which case it's better to do the alternating direction arrow at the "Change the look and functionality of this page" as I say above to be obvious that the user can click there to hide the area (the arrow would go to the left of the text, not to the right where it could be confused as an alternative-action-options-dropdown or as a more-menu-items dropdown). Could also use [+] and [-] prefix (in square brackets or as Windows Explorer folder collapse-expand like icon, but think I'd prefer the down and up triangular arrow [like the sort order icon shown at column headers in windows explorer file details list mode])

13) revise mode when activated says on the left: "Revision mode is active: all changes will be applied only after you click on the approve button". Where is the approve button? Does it mean you have to go to some other page for admin and approve the edit?
