Thanks for the update Khorvat, I thought 5.1 will be released soon as you mentioned above "It's a matter of days as I mentioned v5.1 release date was planned to be same as v4.9 but because of some tech issues we had to postpone for few days"

Yes, I will download the nightly build and test it - will provide my feedback to help you and development team to fix bugs in there are any.

Also - will you also provide an easy way to upgrade from 4.9 to 5.1 as there will be major changes in 5.1 ?

Hi,

I was always talking about the 5.1 beta, as I explained in earlier post.
"Thanks for the update Khorvat, I thought 5.1 will be released soon as you mentioned above "It's a matter of days as I mentioned v5.1 release date was planned to be same as v4.9 but because of some tech issues we had to postpone for few days""

If you mean one click upgrade, no there won't be an easy way to do that, but you will have braking changes list and you will need to follow the list in order to upgrade. It comes down to the amount of code you have written, if you were intensively using e.g. repositories you will have to rewrite all the constructor lines in order to resolve the repository with the DI etc.
"Also - will you also provide an easy way to upgrade from 4.9 to 5.1 as there will be major changes in 5.1 ?"

I have not done any custom code modification in my copy of monox 4.9 that I am using. Just minor stuff like rearranging the webparts and placing on different pages which I can do again. Other than that there is no customization.

So everything is in default state as far as structure of monox 4.9 is concern. So, it will be easy to upgrade to next version ? Will the upgrade list or steps will include changes in code or anything or all  the steps will be easy to implement to upgrade ?

If you could give an example or idea how steps will be for upgrading, that would be helpful.

Yes it should be very easy to upgrade.

We will publish an upgrade TODO list as soon as we finish major changes, so stay tuned.

e.g. Change all MonoX repository calls from UserRepository.GetInstance() to DependencyInjectionFactory.Resolve<IUserRepository>()
