Hello,

Judging by the logs you seem to have an issue with your SMTP configuration. Either MonoX is not properly configured to connect to your SMTP or SMTP server is refusing connections from MonoX to send out activation e-mails.

Which block of code should I pay attention to then? All details provided are valid, (using smtp.gmail.com)

Regards.

Hi,

as Mario mentioned above, your mail server configuration is not valid.

Unable to connect to the remote server
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it...

Do you have any activated and working account which can be used to log in?

Hello,

Okay, so I just changed the port number to 587 for smtp.gmail.com from 465, and I got a notification from Gmail immediately that someone was trying to access my account. I'm sure it's the attempt by MonoX to connect, (consequently gmail blocked that request). How do I ask Gmail to allow the request? (P.S. I've already turned Allow Less Secure Apps:ON)

Hello,

So I've been able to fix the issue. The solution was to:

1. EnableSSL (set to true)
2. Use an account that grants permission to third part applications
3. For Gmail use port 587 instead of 465

Thanks imarusic, mzilic and slaven for your help!

Best Regards,
Hutchful.
