Hello everybody

I'm just starting with mono.
I installed it with WPI, for first testing, and I took the last available release, following the options path a decribed in the installation manual
I now have a nice 4.12742.40 release, runing on my test-pc

When looking at Mono's last official release, I found a lot of migration tools to reach the last release , but nothing about my current release
The nearest one may be :
MonoX_Patch_4_1_2741_40_to_4_5_3057_40.zip 7.03 MB
But is it usable, as my release is x.x.2742.x, not x.x.2741.x ?

If yes, am I right to think that I would have to apply the patches with 2 steps :
1/ MonoX_Patch_4_1_2741_40_to_4_5_3057_40.zip 7.03 MB
2/ MonoX_Patch_4_5_3057_40_to_4_5_3200_40.zip 4.48 MB

Thanks a lot if somebody may help me :)

Walter.

Hi,

But is it usable, as my release is x.x.2742.x, not x.x.2741.x ?
It is suitable to use the 4_1_2741_40 to X patch so just go ahead.

If yes, am I right to think that I would have to apply the patches with 2 steps :
1/ MonoX_Patch_4_1_2741_40_to_4_5_3057_40.zip 7.03 MB
2/ MonoX_Patch_4_5_3057_40_to_4_5_3200_40.zip 4.48 MB
Yes, you should apply all the patches in the chain.

Let us know if you have any upgrade issues, and please read the following article before you do so.

how come the latest version hasn't been provided via Web Platform Installer (WPI)?

We are waiting for current major version to be finished so we can publish it WebPI. Last time we had this scheduled MS was changing the publish policy and we dropped the deploy. Let me know if you need anything else
