So once again WCF and Monox. I've added a WCF service to MonoX and i've built a Windows form Application test client to simulate a mobile app to communicate with the WCF Service that has been added to the MonoX site. When i try to add the service reference from the WCF solution in Visual studio (both applications are in the same solution) i get this error message

There was an error downloading 'http://localhost:25406/Service.svc/_vti_bin/ListData.svc/$metadata'.
The request failed with the error message:

Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'http://localhost:25406/Service.svc'.
The content type text/html; charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported method is implemented properly. The first 1024 bytes of the response were: '<!DOCTYPE html>

The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
If the service is defined in the current solution, try building the solution and adding the service reference again.

Maybe you need to setup another wcf project standalone and see what visual studio puts in web.config

you can publish the project to II via visual studio

Hi,

are you sure that your code is working properly as you are getting "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. If the service is defined in the current solution, try building the solution and adding the service reference again." inside the response ?

In the meanwhile we will check this scenario by adding WCF service to latest version of MonoX.

Regards
