MonoX has gone through a couple of performance improvements since version 4.5. You may want to try the latest version from here and compare it to your current version locally.
We don't support upgrades from non-release version (i.e. nightly), but you can try it by following the general guidelines from here

it means if you have nightly build installed we can't guarantee that our upgrade patch packages will work 100% correctly. So you will need to upgrade manually by following upgrade guidelines. You can find them in our Blog section.

I have changed my hosting provider to Arvixe and so far so good.

the performance issues I used to face at go daddy are gone when I moved to Arvixe.
