Ok, I noticed on the issue where the web part titles are showing, it doesn't do it on the main default.aspx page. It only does it on this subpage in folder intranet/mis.aspx where I have only administrators able to edit the page and only administrators and users in one other role can view it the page. Each part is setup so that only administrators can view and edit and the MIS role can view each part. Yet when I login as one of the MIS users, the web part title shows up on the page. If I delete it, then it just shows up as "Untitled". Is there anyway to hide that title? I've tried unchecking "Show Title" in the news module web part, but that pertains to the actual news title and not the web part title.

Thanks for any advice!

Ok, now that I tried to use the news module as one of the users in the MIS role, it lets me in to view or add categories and news articles, but the edit/delete action is not showing up on categories or news items even though I've enabled the MIS role users to have view and edit on each category.

I want the users in the MIS role to be able to edit/delete eachothers news items and categories. I'm not sure why my roles don't seem to be producing the desired affects on web parts or the news module?

Thanks!
Erin

Hi Erin,
Could we see your parts/pages in action somewhere? We could also use a TeamViewer session, please let me know what works for you and we can exchange details via e-mail.

Sure Denis, we can do this next week since I am out of the office until Monday!
EDIT: Ok, nevermind on the Silverlight. My server didn't have the MIME types to support silverlight installed so the upload wouldn't run before. It's working now!

Thanks for all your help! Let me know when you would like to use a teamviewer session next week. This is an intranet site I'm building so that's the only way I could show you.
Talk to you soon!
Erin

Hi IDEALSOCIALNETWORK,

can you give us more information regarding your installation procedure (did you use the package from our Site, WebMartix, Microsoft Gallery etc.) ? Can you please open a new topic for this so we can discuss your issue there.

Thanks
