ok Denis..

I got your email and just responding to it.. by the way you been great..

I not been around.. been busy with some other issues.. so not had much time to look at this...

Today I downloaded the new version and reinsalled it fresh on a new db..
I put it in the inetpub root dir.. just to try something new.. before i had it in C:/monox and configured as a .net application..

note my default .net iis pool is configured for .net 4.0

copied the .net 4.0 config file from samples.. renamed it...
added the iis pool modify permissions to the whole dir.. don't care much about security

installed flawlessly without a hitch....

went to edit the social page... example a profile page.. tried enter design move.. error..
same as before.. name can not contain , or something.. you mentioned it was a re-write error..

so maybe issue is with windows7 and iis 7.5.. config.. but i have no clue what to change because not had this problem with anything but monox so far..please help when you get a chance..

Hi, are there any solutions for this problem.
I got the same exception.

.net 4.0
IIS 7.5
config is the copy from samples solution, without any changes.
no error when installing

When i try to add a new blogpost i receive an error
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

And i got another exception when i try to edit my profile
Fehler: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed.

thanks for any help
Markus

Ok.. Im back from vacation and back at it..

My next plan is to try to redeploy the latest monix... using .net 4.0 and the .net 4.0 http config file..

My guess is .. the url rewriting error will come back.. once I get that then Im going to be stuck again..

Our time schedules are very different.. but I will be available more the next couple of weeks so hopefully we can find a time where we are both around so you can look into our issue more.

testmmi, have you had any luck... ? as your prob running the same setup as me.. ..
I too am using .net 4.0 and iis 7.5 on windows 7 64 bit..

Hi shawndg,

i have installed the latest monox version several times on both, Windows 7 und Server 2008 R2 with the same result. I'm not able to edit my profile, nor i can post a blog comment.

Shawn and testmmi - I feeel that we shoud really try TeamViewer remote support to solve your issues. It is very difficult to diagnose and fix installation issues without having access to your local environment. I am certain that one quick remote support session will get you back on track.

Yes, could you please send me a TeamViewer session code using the messanger on this site (http://www.mono-software.com/Mono/Pages/Messages.aspx) - I just saw your previous message in the message list.
