What is the use of "Lists" ?  (Mono Support )

I see in administration that there is an option to add "Lists"

what is the use of it ? I see in the info that it is used to create lists but I added a test list, now where to look on the site for this list ? 

can anyone please explain in detail how to view this and make use of this on site ?

I just read in  the user manual but still don't see any option specified in the manual that gives directions, how and where to view the list on the public site ?, I understand how to setup a list in the administration but where I get the lilst on the slte ?

List module is so small module that we omitted the demo page for it. You can simply drop the List WebPart from module gallery to any page and see how it works. It's just a simple dynamic list of items.
