Can Monox be installed in a Hosted Environment (Mono Support )

I am trying to build a social networking site using Monox. This is like a extended family get-together site where each family member can login and post data. I am building my website through a web hosting company like godaddy and so I wondered:
1. if I can install Monox on a hosted website?
2. if I can create the whole web site on my desktop and then just copy over the whole folder to the hosted website?

Any suggestions, ideas will be appreciated.

Hi,

yes MonoX can be hosted in shared hosting environment, but here are few notes on that

- Yes you can, just copy the deployed / compiled version via FTP to your location, change the connection strings to your database server and that should be it.

1. if I can install Monox on a hosted website?

- Yes as I answered above

2. if I can create the whole web site on my desktop and then just copy over the whole folder to the hosted website?

Note: We had few complaints on GoDaddy as being a very restrictive hoster so keep that in mind, many of their customers have issues with I/O permissions (I'm not talking about MonoX specific issues but about ASP.NET specific issues) so some of them tend to move away.
