Hello MonoX team: i am trying to install Monox portal butt i am unable to initialize the installation process. i dont know what i am doing wrong. I followed the user manual butt still unable to install the portal. i have attached the images . kindly point out that what i am doing wrong. Thanks in advance .

Hi,

you have to install and register ASP.NET in order to use it. After the installation in the IIS there should be an ASP.NET section with options when you click on your application and at the moment I can't see the options so I suppose you don't have ASP.NET installed.

You can use Web Platform Installer 5.0 which can be used to install the ASP.NET and there is also an IIS register ASP.NET package somewhere in the list that you can use so you don't have to do it manually.

Thank you sir for your time , i have installed asp.net through web platform installer but i am still unable to initiate the installation process, i also tried to install MonoX through web platform installer but it gives me error . I have attached screenshots kindly have a look.

Hi,

let's try to go over few things before we proceed

- did you add "monoxtesting.local" binding in the host file in Windows folder in order to resolve this domain to proper IP addess ?
- it seems to me that you didn't register ASP.NET with IIS, there is a package in the Web Platform Installer called "Execute ASP.NET IIS Registration Tool" which will register ASP.NET in the IIS so please make sure that you have installed this package before we continue.
- can you please send us an error log from WPI installation so we can check what is the issue ? (Note: WPI has an older version of MonoX as we are in the process of publishing new one)

Hi,

we offer e-mail and telephone support only for priority support packages so please follow my instructions as described above to install the ASP.NET in IIS (Note: Installing ASP.NET and IIS is not a subject of this support forum there are dedicated forums for that kind of support like http://stackoverflow.com).

WPI Feed for latest MonoX installation is http://mono.software/Download/WebPi/MonoXFeed.xml so please try to add that feed to installer or download package manually from our download section.

Please find the screenshot of WPI and marked registration tool attached.
