This is probably related to the privacy settings for each user profile. Please go to the edit profile page and check the privacy settings on profile fields.
Please check the attached screenshot for more details.

Thank you very much! I didn't know that each user had to fill the Name / surname fields in order for their name to be shown in the header. I thought that by default the login username was printed there. Sorry about that :)

Maybe, printing the account user name by default is a good practice, though
