Mono is a name of our company, it is almost 12 years old now. We had some weird company naming regulations in our country and were looking for a short and rememberable name. It comes from ancient Greek, meaning "one, single, unique". MonoX was one of our first products, it was actually picked up as a code name for its first release, but users accepted it very well, and it stayed.
