Unfortunately WebPI has a bit older version of MonoX. Please download the newer version from our site and get back to us.

I tried to use the new version from this site ,
the same error message appeared , the info of user name and password of sql express , and the MONO wasn't installed

but the only new thing happened was that web matrix window opened.

after more search i found that the sql server that i use in my computer is not sql express, but the webPI asks about sa user password of sql express
so what should i do ?

Hi,

let me explain a few things:

- you can always go back in the installation wizard so you can choose the SQL server and enter new credentials.
- MonoX isn't dependent upon the SQL Express edition so you should be able to install the MonoX

Can you please try to connect to SQL inside the VS or SQL Management  Studio so we can be sure that credentials are ok ? Also can you please attach MonoX error logs that can be found in the /MonoX/ApplicationData/Logs/*.log.

Did you have all green check marks in the first installation screen ?

All steps that i followed are listed here in details, and the last photo displays the error message :


1) entering the feed link , get it from the site .

but there was an error *_*

2) enabling the remote database support:

password= 123

4) window of acceptance appeared with red mark near Monox, why?????

even the custom feed for WebPI from MonoX servers has older version, better download from MonoX downloads section the latest version and try installing it by hand (without WebPI)

Our custom feed is currently incompatible with Web Platform Installer 4.0 RC and Beta releases. There is a bug in the WebPI 4.0 which first needs to be resolved by Microsoft. Issue has been reported to Microsoft by multiple parties.

I highly recommend using the manual installation method as it contains the latest version of MonoX. You can download MonoX package on this page. There is also a tutorial which shows you how you can install manually here.

The errors which you were receiving are pointing out that your password for the 'sa' account is wrong. Can you please verify the password?

Please also make sure that SQL Authentication Mode is enabled on your SQL Server. This MSDN article explains how you can enable your 'sa' account and how you can enable SQL Authentication Mode.

Please use Web Platform Installer 3.0 due to reasons described in my previous post.
