it would be nice to have a "quote" action on the text editor to convert current selection (ideally any selection on the page, not just in the text editor) to something nested in the text editor (if selection is in the editor it would replace it, if selection is outside of editor it would copy into the editor):

a nice example of a quote box is at the Wordpress skin I use at my blog, see for example:

just noticed this one existed, have put some more info at a separate post:

So if there was no selected text in the page it would quote the whole post under which you pressed Quote/Reply
