How to add a thumbnail image for news item? (Zatvorena) (Mono Support )

I'm building a news website. I need to add a small image to every news item and then show it on a page that list all news with small image and short content.

Anybody know how to do it?

Hello Benghe,

The easiest way for you to do this is through the News management using HTML editor. Use "Image Manager" from the toolbar to upload a photo.

Thank Dalibor, but if we use "Image Manager", the thumbnail image will not be the same size.

I think, Mono should add this functionality for next update.

Hello Benghe,

"Image Editor" inside "Image Manager" has the ability to crop and resize images, so they can end up being the same size. However, as we found out while testing this, current version of this Telerik control has a bug when saving an image in "Image Editor". We'll include their fix in the next version of MonoX.

HI there
I agree with Dalibor.There many awesome image manager which supports to create image thumbnail effectively.Besides,you an also crop or resize the image to your size.I have tried a free trial from an image program.
They can do that.But it is expensive.I want to know that if there is any cheap image program for that.Thanks
for any suggestion.

Hi,

did you try crop on the user profile avatar control? Since telerik image editor crop does not work at the moment you might use the same control as on avatar to crop image and save it to disk, but it would require you to extend news administration page and do some custom coding.
