We had some technical issues with the MonoX 5.0 beta 1 version and it is still not available.

Any ETA for 5.0 release ? If no, any approx time frame like 3rd quarter or 4th quater of 2014 something like  that would be helpful too ?

yes MonoX 5.1 Beta release is just around the corner, we would have release it by now but we had some technical issues and now we are doing QA and rewriting CI process.

Thanks khorvat - can you please give me an approx time idea ? I am not asking for exact time, just want to get an idea which time of the year - that's all.

Also - really impressed with 4.9 version - thank you for the great product !

It's a matter of days as I mentioned v5.1 release date was planned to be same as v4.9 but because of some tech issues we had to postpone for few days.

But what will be the difference between 4.9 and 5.0 ? If 5.0 was planned right after 4.9 then why release 4.9 and why not just release 5.0 ? or have everything in 4.9 only ?

I just upgraded  to 4.9 so I am just trying to understand as I will have to upgrade to 5.0 now.

MonoX v5.1 will introduce breaking changes that will require you to configure your projects to use DI Ninject, so 4.9 was release so we can push the complete redesign and now we can push 5.1 beta to community in order to perform further testing.

MonoX 5.1 is available in the nightly build download section so you can go ahead and test the new version. We are long way from official release as there is still large sections of MonoX that needs to be abstracted in order to implement IoC & DI, and after that comes intensive testing. We hope community will help us shorten the time needed for official release by downloading and testing new version. So there is a lot of work ahead of us, stay tuned.
