Hi,
one important thing that you must not forget is that MonoX theme and it's modules are prepared for Responsive Design so the Silder WebPart's mark-up and style is prepared for responsivness. I think that slider that you mentioned is not optimized for responsive design so it may be used in this scenario but you will hassle with this too much, maybe a better idea is to use some other slider like this one -
FlexSlider, as it's already prepared for responsivness and I think you can just put it in your page and it will work.
