Looking forward for the release :)

Are you also going to provide any kind of step by step tutorial for upgrading from 4.9 to 5.1 since team mentioned before that upgrade process will require some work as it is a major update from development side.

Just curious (to make sure I haven't missed anything),  there is no 5.0v right? 5.0 is being skipped and 5.1 will be the next official version after 4.9?

Yes we will publish the upgrade guidelines so you can follow the instructions and properly upgrade your app. MonoX v5.0 was skipped because major changes were needed in order to fully abstract most important MonoX modules to make them "IoC ready" (which took us longer than expected). So v5.0 was internal version used as a good starting point for transition to v5.1.

Note: all changes made to MonoX modules required by IoC will not affect anything in the mark-up files (maybe small changes to v5.x theme structure) and will not require major changes to your code.

Regards
